Volunteers
Volunteers have to be the most important part of a race.
You can’t have one without the other. At Topeka to Auburn many volunteers are
out there a long time providing direction and support for the runners and
walkers.
We really appreciate all those who continue to volunteer in one way or another
to help make the race a success. It takes well over 50 dedicated volunteers to
stage a race of this nature and many of those volunteers help with the race year
after year. There are many others who may not make for a better race for the
competitors but they may enhance the experience of the event, such as all those
putting on the breakfast at the school.
For several years we have been able to utilize local high school cross-country
teams at the aid stations. This year will be no different.
