* Regular Sunflower Striders dues are $20 for individual or $25 for family per year and renewable on or before January 1st each year. Benefits include a bi-monthly newsletter, discounted entry fee to Sunflower Striders Sponsored events, including most local road races, weekly group runs, annual picnic, periodic fun runs, discounts at Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, and club membership in the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration:

Race day packet pick-up and registration will be at Fairlawn Plaza Mall, 2114 SW Chelsea Dr., Topeka KS, beginning at 9:00 AM.
Bus Transportation:
ATTENTION: Park at the finish in Auburn! We are going to bus participants before the start of the race from the finish area to the start in Topeka. Buses will begin loading near the Auburn Community Center beginning at 8:00 am and will continue until 10:00 am. Normal drive time from Auburn to the start area is about 30 minutes. Parking is available south of the Community Center, along the north and east sides of the ball diamond and near the finish line just off 85th and Harrison Streets. Busing is provided for runners only and your dry clothes bags for after the race will be transported back to the Auburn Elementary School.
Pasta Dinner:
The Lazy Toad, conveniently located at the west end of Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center, will be offering a pasta dinner Friday evening, January 18th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Cost of the dinner is $10 and includes pasta with a choice of vegetarian or meat sauce along with bread and water or tea to drink. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for additional cost. RSVPs are required and may be made through registration.
Race:
The race will start at 11:00 am on Chelsea Drive along the west of Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center. The race will be bib chip timed this year, which means there will be no need to return the chips. A results kiosk will be set up for runners to access their results immediately after finishing. The Sunflower Striders Running Club has designated The Bridge of Topeka as our charity partner for 2013. "The Bridge is a mentoring program for at-risk children and youth in central Topeka. Their mission is to empower children to become responsible, servant leaders of the 21st Century." Additional donations will gladly be accepted.

Post Race:
Pancakes, free for race participants and volunteers will be available starting at 12:30 pm at the Auburn Elementary School, which is a few blocks south and west of the finish line. Guests may also purchase the pancake breakfast. Coffee, orange juice and hot chocolate will be included. Dry clothes bags will be transported to the school, where changing rooms will be available. There are no shower facilities at the school. The post-race awards ceremony will take place in the school cafeteria at approximately 1:30 pm.
