Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration:
Friday, January 15th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM at: Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, 2130 SW Wanamaker Rd. (next to Target) Topeka, Kansas
Race day packet pick-up and registration will be at Indian Hills Elementary School 7445 SW 29th Street Topeka, KS beginning at 8:00 AM.
ATTENTION: Park at the finish in Auburn! Participants will be bused before the start of the race from the finish area to the start in Topeka. Buses will begin loading near the Auburn Community Center beginning at 8:00 am and will continue until 9:30 am. Normal drive time from Auburn to the start area is about 15 minutes. Parking is available south of the Community Center, along the north and east sides of the ball diamond and in other areas as directed by parking attendants. Busing is provided for runners only and your dry clothes bags for after the race will be transported back to Auburn Grade School.
The race will start at 10:00 am on SW Indian Hills Rd west of Indian Hills Elementary School. The race will be bib chip timed, which means there will be no need to return the chips. Results will be available for runners shortly after finishing at the finish line and will be posted at Auburn Grade School. The Sunflower Striders Running Club has designated Topeka area high school track/cross-country teams as our charitable contribution for 2016.
Pancakes, free for race participants and volunteers will be available starting at 11:30 am at the Auburn Elementary School, which is a block west and a block south of the finish line near the Auburn Fire Station. Guests may also purchase the pancake breakfast. Coffee, orange juice and hot chocolate will be included. Dry clothes bags will be transported to the school, where changing rooms will be available. There are no shower facilities at the school. Post-race age group awards may be picked up at the school upon results becoming official. Overall and age-graded masters awards will be presented in the cafeteria at approximately 12:00 pm.
