This is a benefit for the Herington Recreation Commission. The monies raised by this event will go to help with repairs needed to the baseball diamonds and concession stand. Baseball is very important to our youth in our town. The fees collected during baseball season cover the child's t-shirt, equipment, umpires, items needed for the concession stand, ect... There is nothing left over at the end of the season for repairs or upgrades.
The 5K will begin at 9:00 am and the walk will begin at 9:30 am. Day of registration and packet pick up will begin at 7:00 am. and will end at 8:30 am. Everyone will receive a t-shirt and a participation ribbon. Only the 5K participants will receive a metal. Age divisions are as follows: 18 and under, 19 - 30, 31 - 40, 41 - 50, 50 and over. The map that is link to the event is for the 5K event only. A map of the walking route will be attached as a flier to this site. There will be a runner's snack table that will be available prior to the race and after. There will also be a breakfast that is available for a free will donation. This event will go no matter the weather conditions!!! NO REFUNDS!!!!
